Just shoot me an email and let me know you'd like to book. We'll agree on a date and then I'll send out a booking email with contract and invoice. You can sign and pay online, then you'll be officially booked! Or if you prefer, there's a direct booking link at the bottom of this page to pay the retainer. (If you use this, we'll still need to communicate about a date and I'll send the contract separately).
Once you book, we’ll have a design consultation to plan your session. Depending on your preference, this can be accomplished with a zoom meeting, a phone call or over text or email. We'll talk about outfits and backgrounds, and if you're wanting a cake smash we'll plan your custom cake smash set and type of cake.
On your session day, I’ll put my years of experience and knowledge to work to make everything go smoothly. You can count on an enjoyable experience and gorgeous photos!
A few days after your session, we'll have a zoom ordering appointment. You’ll see your images, choose your collection, and go through and pick favorites. This is also the time to add any extras you might want like prints, wall art or an album. Payment is due at the ordering appointment.
It generally takes me about a week after your ordering appointment to finalize the edits on your images and upload them to a gallery for you. Prints take a little longer, generally 1-2 weeks. Wall art, framing and albums can take up to 4-6 weeks. Once everything is in, I’ll be in touch for you to come back to the studio and pick up your gorgeous heirlooms! Drop shipping to your home is also an option.

Book your Session
Just click the “BOOK IT” button at the bottom of this page. It’ll take you to a form where you’ll pay your retainer. Then, check your inbox for a confirmation email. That will have a calendar link to book your complimentary design consultation. If you have any trouble with the booking process, or if you'd like to ask more questions first, just shoot me an email!
Design Consultation
Once you book, we’ll have a design consultation to plan your session. Depending on your preference, this can be accomplished with a phone call or over texts. We'll talk about outfits and backgrounds, and if you're wanting a cake smash we'll plan your custom cake smash set and type of cake.

You might be wondering
When should I book my baby sesssion?
That depends... did you have newborn photos done? If not, then I'd say "Right away!" Let's get that little cutie into the studio before he or she gets one bit bigger, and capture all the things that you'll want to remember from this baby stage. If you have already done newborn photos, and are wondering about the best time to do the next photo session, my recommendation is to capture the sitting milestone. That generally comes at around 6-7 months of age. It's so much fun to photograph new sitters because it's generally quite a happy time of babyhood. It's a great idea to go ahead and get on my calendar for 6 months. Then as the time gets closer, we can evaluate whether baby is sitting sturdily yet and you can decide whether to celebrate the age or the milestone. We either keep the date and photograph right at 6 months, using props to help balance, or move the session back a bit to give baby time to become a stronger sitter. And then of course, there's the first birthday. This is a don't miss session! What could be sweeter than a grinning one year old covered in frosting?
What should BABY wear?
I have a great selection of cute outfits for babies between 3-12 months to be photographed in. You are also welcome to bring outfits for baby.
How long will the session last?
Baby sessions typically last 45 minutes to an hour.
What precautions DO you take against GERMS?
Safety is, and has always been my top priority. As well as being skilled and experienced in baby safety, I am a stickler for sanitation. I always wipe down hard surfaces and props with disinfectant, and I launder blankets, wraps and other soft props that touch baby’s skin after every session. I am happy to wear a mask for client contact if requested.
Laura King is fantastic. What I love about her is the high quality of the photos. The different options for printing the pictures are outstanding quality as well. She is personable and really has become apart of my children’s life. I have used her for the past 4 years and will continue. She makes each picture session individualized, so you know you are getting something unique. The sessions are fun as well. Lastly, you instantly feel welcomed. I highly suggest her for any child’s session.

This is not likely to be an issue if you are booking a newborn session while still pregnant, as we will be booking you for a tentative date anyway. However if you a have a specific date that you need your session on, and you are reading this guide more than a couple of days after I sent it to you, please check in with me before paying your session fee to be sure it's still available.
