Those cheeks! Those eyes! That smile! Those little toes! Your baby is changing faster this year than they ever will again. Don’t you just want to soak up every little bit of cuteness and keep it to remember forever? Let’s capture those first year milestones with professional photos.

Smiley Sessions
(6 weeks and up)

Baby is well out of the newborn stage, and big changes are happening! Personality is coming out, and this is a great time to capture those gummy smiles. Before 6 months, babies generally aren’t sitting up, so we have lots of other ideas. We’ll tailor your baby’s session to what he or she can do right now. Some options are tummy time, lounging supported in bowls and baskets, grabbing toes, and lying back on a fluffy rug to capture lots of silly faces for a collage.

Sitter Sessions

Somewhere in the middle of the first year, most babies reach the sitting milestone. We are here to celebrate it! These are some of my favorite sessions because it’s generally a really happy time for babies. We provide the cute outfits and sets, then put baby center stage and get silly to bring out the big smiles. My rendition of Baby Shark gets them every time.

First Birthday Cake Smash

Hooray, hooray! We love to make a big fuss over baby’s first birthday! It’s a three part session – smile, smash and splash. We start with classic portraits in a cute outfit, then it’s time for a cake smash. We provide a decorated set plus a bakery cake, and get fantastic photos while your little one goes to town on it. When it’s time for cleanup, we bring out the cutest little clawfoot tub and it’s splash time!

If you don’t want baby to have cake, just let me know and we’ll come up with another fun way to celebrate!

Laura King is fantastic. What I love about her is the high quality of the photos. The different options for printing the pictures are outstanding quality as well. She is personable and really has become apart of my children’s life. I have used her for the past 4 years and will continue. She makes each picture session individualized, so you know you are getting something unique. The sessions are fun as well. Lastly, you instantly feel welcomed. I highly suggest her for any child’s session.

I absolutely love the pictures that Laura takes of my grandchildren. Her gorgeous backdrops, delightful props, variety of poses and her ability to capture each child’s personality make it so difficult to choose from all of photographs she produces. I’ve been there several times to watch her photograph the kids and each time she manages to “catch”’ their precious expressions as she laughs and plays with them while they don’t even realize they’re being photographed. Laura has truly given us some memories to cherish.

What’s a CPP, and what does that mean for my photos?

As a CPP (Certified Professional Photographer, designated by PPA – the Professional Photographers of America) Laura has passed a rigorous technical exam – think the bar exam for photographers. In addition, she had to have. a portfolio reviewd by a judging panel to demonstrate specific photographic expertise.

What this means for you is that you can trust that your images will be of the highest quality, created with utmost care. And since your baby is only a baby for such a short time, that’s a big deal.
